چکیده

In this paper, we first introduce the concept of an adaptive MRA (AMRA) structure which is a variant of the classical MRA structure suited to the main goal of a fast flexible decomposition strategy adapted to the data at each decomposition level. We then study this novel methodology for the general case of affine-like systems, and derive a Unitary Extension Principle (UEP) for filter design. Finally, we apply our results to the directional representation system of shearlets. This leads to a comprehensive theory for fast decomposition algorithms associated with shearlet systems which encompasses tight shearlet frames with spatially compactly supported generators within such an AMRA structure. Also shearlet-like systems associated with parabolic scaling and unimodular shear matrices are studied within this framework.

In this paper, a real-time denoising filter based on modelling of stable hybrid models is presented. Thehybrid models are composed of the shearlet filter and the adaptive Wiener filter in different forms. The optimization of various models is accomplished by the genetic algorithm. Next, regarding thesignificant relationship between Optimal models and input images, changing the structure of Optim...

Adaptive Directional Subdivision Schemes and Shearlet Multiresolution Analysis

In this paper, we propose a solution for a fundamental problem in computational harmonic analysis, namely, the construction of a multiresolution analysis with directional components. We will do so by constructing subdivision schemes which provide a means to incorporate directionality into the data and thus the limit function. We develop a new type of non-stationary bivariate subdivision schemes...

Discrete Shearlet Transform : New Multiscale Directional Image Representation

It is now widely acknowledged that analyzing the intrinsic geometrical features of an underlying image is essentially needed in image processing. In order to achieve this, several directional image representation schemes have been proposed. In this report, we develop the discrete shearlet transform (DST) which provides efficient multiscale directional representation. We also show that the imple...

Shearlet-Based Adaptive Noise Reduction in CT Images

The noise in reconstructed slices of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) is of unknown distribution, non-stationary, oriented and difficult to distinguish from main structural information. This requires the development of special post-processing methods based on the local statistical evaluation of the noise component. This paper presents an adaptive method of reducing noise in CT images employing th...

Wavelet Frames and Image Restorations

One of the major driven forces in the area of applied and computational harmonic analysis over the last decade or longer is the development of redundant systems that have sparse approximations of various classes of functions. Such redundant systems include framelet (tight wavelet frame), ridgelet, curvelet, shearlet and so on. This paper mainly focuses on a special class of such redundant syste...
